Network Chemistry Scanner features the patent-pending Collaborative Device Classification system to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date device classification. The Collaborative Device Classification system is unique in that it leverages an open source model to build and maintain up-to-date profiles of millions of devices. It does this through the use of RogueScanner™. RogueScanner is an open source scanning agent that uses the Collaborative Device Classification system to look up and identify the device type and its identity in real time. Identified devices are included in the Collaborative Device Database that is maintained by Network Chemistry. Network Chemistry anonymously stores all data collected in the database and makes the database available to customers of Network Chemistry Scanner. Network Chemistry Scanner appliances include the database and receive updated device classification rules and profiles to ensure the system is up-to-date thereby enabling the most accurate detection and remediation of rogue wireless devices.
Network Chemistry Scanner provides complete network coverage capabilities through its flexible deployment architecture and is ideal for use to enforce a 'no wireless' policy where wireless infrastructure is not allowed. Organizations with wireless LANs and mobile users who are concerned with protecting confidential data and the wireless network can deploy Network Chemistry Scanner in conjunction with Network Chemistry's other award-winning product, RFprotect Distributed, to provide complete wired and wireless scanning and protection.
